If you want to set some intentions, this is the weekend to do it!

We have an exceptional few days ahead of us with celestial events and Beltane fast approaching!

On Saturday 30th April, we will have the second new moon of the month. This is known as a "black moon." It's not very common, so make sure to take advantage of it. New moons are about new beginnings, so it's the perfect time to set your intentions for the month ahead, or you can look even further to the future. I like to focus on goals that are more immediate, and also those that may come into fruition five years down the line. Realistically no matter how good you are at performing your new moon manifestation rituals some things are going to take time, so I like to ensure I include them in my focus each month too, even if they are a little way off!

This new moon coincides with a partial solar eclipse. This event happens when the moon passes between the sun and earth, and blocks part of the sun's light. Though we won't see it in the UK, the energy will be there. Eclipses represent endings and new beginnings, so it's the perfect time to release anything that is no longer serving you and again get setting those intentions.

Venus and Jupiter will also be doing a bit of a dance as they get so close together it looks like they might just collide! This is called a conjunction, and it occurs when two planets line up and appear to touch each other when looking up from the Earth. Don't panic though, they are still millions of miles apart despite what our eyes may see. It's said that this alignment has the power to bring our dreams into reality.

So with the second new moon, a partial solar eclipse and a conjunction if you have some manifesting to do Saturday night may just be the night to do it!

I am excited to be teaching Reiki on the day of the black moon and all these other celestial activities, it seems very fitting with new beginnings and intentions being so prominent.

Finally, we have Beltane on Sunday. Beltane marks the beginning of summer and is a festival of fertility. It was traditionally celebrated by lighting fires and dancing around them. This was thought to bring good luck and protection for the coming year. It's a time to celebrate new beginnings and growth. Fire is a big part of this festival so if you can’t get out and want to honour & celebrate it in some way, light a candle in your home and take some time for yourself.

Let’s make the most of this weekend and all it has to offer! Whether you are setting intentions, doing some manifestation work or just enjoying the Beltane festivities, have fun and enjoy!
